OCD is a debilitating condition that can rob you from living the life you want to live. It can steal time from you as behaviours and rituals often take up unnecessary amounts of time, and it can take you away from the present moment, as mental compulsions and rumination interfere with your relationships, work performance and the overall joys of life.

I have years of experience working as an OCD specialist, supporting individuals to regain control of their lives, to live a happier life and to make more space to do what they want to. I graduated from the University of Victoria with a Master’s degree in Child and Youth Care. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) of British Columbia and a Clinical Counsellor of Canada (CCC).

I have experience supporting individuals with nearly every subtype including ROCD, SO-OCD, Contamination OCD, Emotional Contamination OCD, Harm OCD, Existential OCD, Somatic OCD, Just Right OCD, Pure OCD, Suicidal OCD, Postpartum OCD, Pedophilia OCD among others.

I understand that many of the OCD subtypes involve having intrusive thoughts and/or images that can cause severe distress. I understand what intrusive thoughts are and I have already heard a wide range of them. These intrusive thoughts may leave you feeling shameful which increases the difficulty in reaching out for support. I will not judge you for the intrusive thoughts you may be experiencing.

OCD is best treated using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Response and Prevention Therapy (ERP), Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I have trainings in these methodologies and am fully equipped in helping you live the life you are ready to live. The best way to treat your OCD is to be fully committed to therapy, both in and out of session.

You don’t need to continue suffering. There are supports ready to help you. I look forward to meeting you and getting started!
